SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Holiday shoppers are getting an early start this year.
The day after Thanksgiving is normally the kick-off for the holiday season shopping, but many retailers are already offering Black Friday deals.
"Sales always help because I know people do like to start early. In like November, after Halloween, you know Christmas is right around the corner," one shopper said.
National retail chains like Walmart, Sears and Toys-R-Us all opened for the preview sale Saturday.
The goal is to get consumers on a tight budget into the stores and into the shopping mood earlier.
