ENCINITAS, Calif. — The Encinitas City Council on Wednesday night voted unanimously to amend the original urgency ordinance that was passed last August to regulate 5G cell towers - providing more protection for residents, and restricting 5G cell towers from residential zones and school areas.
More than 100 residents attended Wednesday night's City Council meeting to express their opposition to 5G cell towers. Some said that they do not oppose the new technology, but they do want it rolled out in a safe manner.
