OCEANSIDE, Calif. —
Fire crews responded to an 18-acre fire on Camp Pendleton Tuesday afternoon, according to the Camp Pendleton Twitter page. Smoke was visible throughout San Diego County. According to City News Service, no structural damage or injuries have been reported at this time.
Stuart Mesa Road reopened around 2:12 p.m. on Tuesday.
Camp Pendleton officials report that CPEN Fire units were in the mop-up stage just before 2 p.m..
The fire was located off SE of Las Pulgas, but due to an onshore breeze, the smoke was coming into the valley of Oceanside and into Vista, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
No evacuations were issued for the Oceanside area.
