SAN DIEGO — A brush fire burning Thursday morning in Chula Vista threatened a nearby mobile home park, but no evacuations were immediately ordered.
The fire was first reported about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday in the Otay River Valley Regional Park near Faivre Street and Beyer Boulevard, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The fire was burning toward the La Palma Mobile Estates in the 2400 block of Palm Avenue, but no evacuations had been ordered, fire officials reported.
According to a fire official, the fire erupted along the Otay River where there are homeless encampments.
