SAN DIEGO — Travelers in and out of San Diego found their flight plans in limbo as more than 400 flights were delayed at San Diego International Airport.
In a statement to CBS 8, the FAA confirmed that the major delays were weather-related.
San Diego International Airport recorded 411 delayed flights on Thursday, 43 canceled, according to FlightAware.
Southwest recorded a majority of the delays in and out of San Diego. However, multiple airlines were affected and experienced delays.
In a post to social media, Southwest said ''irregular operations'' were impacting its operation due to air traffic control directives at San Diego International Airport.
