SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Wednesday, falling nine-tenths of a cent to $5.25, a day after it dropped 1 cent.
The average price is 5 cents less than one week ago and 11.8 cents lower than one month ago, but 42.3 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has dropped $1.185 since rising to a record $6.435 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price also dropped, decreasing a half-cent to $3.607, a day after it dropped seven-tenths of a cent. It is 3.3 cents less than one week ago and 2.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 7.2 cents higher than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.409 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
