A local dog who went from the pound, to the bright lights of the theatre stage, needs a new home. "Mocha" is a 5-year-old terrier mix. She was at the animal shelter in Bonita when a trainer looking for a dog to play "Sandy" in the show, "Annie," found her in May. Now that the show in Vista is over, Mocha is up for adoption.
The San Diego Department of Animal Services is taking applications.
Applications will be accepted through Thursday by fax at (760) 431-8401 or delivered to the shelter at 2481 Palomar Airport Road in Carlsbad.
