SAN DIEGO — Grammy Award-winning music artist Kid Cudi has canceled his tour stop in San Diego and across the United States after he injured his foot performing at Coachella.
The “Day ‘n’ Nite” singer announced he broke his heel bone after jumping off a stage at Coachella during his weekend two performance on Sunday.
Kid Cudi announced the cancellation of his “Insano” world tour on Wednesday in post to social media and said he needed time to recover from his injury.
“Guys, so, I have a broken calcaneus. Headed to surgery now and there's gonna be a long recovery time. We have to cancel the tour so I can focus on getting better to be out there in top shape to rage with you all. There's just no way I can bounce back in time to give 100%. The injury is much more serious than I thought,” Kid Cudi said.
Fans who had tickets to the tour will receive a refund, Kid Cudi said in his post.
Kid Kudi was scheduled to perform in San Diego on August 16 at Pechanga Arena. The singer said he was sore but in good spirits.
“We will be back with new tour dates as soon as possible, and I can't wait to get back out there with you guys and turn up how we do. I'm so sorry fam and I love you all so much, thanks for the endless love and support,” he said.
