Kitchens for Good Shop is in Pacific Beach off the beaten path on Hornblend. Curating the inventory is Operations Manager Mary Scafidi

"It's curated... for kitchenware. Everything is pre-loved Kitchenware and home goods," Scafidi said.

And be assured there are some incredible items to be had

"You might find Le Crusete, Vita Mix blender. You might find some beautiful Lennox China. It's the whole gamete... everything for your kitchen," she said.

Prices start at .99 and above.

"We have 4 different color tags, everyday something is on sale, 50% off every day," she said.

Kitchens for Good is not a museum!

"We are here to sell things; there's over 25,000 items are in the store," she said.

They also have an eBay store

"They're much more special vintage, they are little bit more expensive but just things," Scafidi said.

But Kitchens for Good is much more than a resale shop

"Kitchens for Good at the heart of our organization, we are an apprentice program for people that struggle with some type of barrier to employment," she said.

Kitchens for Good provides a no-cost tuition for those looking for a career in the restaurant industry.

"So, we help people coming from incarceration, coming from addiction, transitioning from Homelessness. We train them to find jobs in the culinary industry," she said.

So, while you are getting a good deal on the kitchen item that you can't live without, it's much more than that.

"It just really touches my heart, everybody in the organization. We're doing this for somebody else," Scafidi said.
