Pirate Ship Adventures: Plundering on the bay

Into the dangerous waters of San Diego Bay sails the Treasure Seeker, an 83-foot reproduction of a Spanish galleon.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Into the dangerous waters of San Diego Bay sails the Treasure Seeker, an 83-foot reproduction of a Spanish galleon. The Treasure Seeker's treacherous crew is lead by the notorious Captain Murdock.

"When you step aboard this ship, you'll be stepping on as a crew, not coming aboard to see the sights," Captain Murdock said.

There's the whoosie first mate, Mr. Sikes.

"We found Mr. Sikes marooned on Coronado Island, penniless and begging for a fixed rate mortgage," Captain Murdock said.

The helmsman is the directionally challenged Mr. Slick. He's our designated driver. Then there's the beautiful and mysterious Misfortune. Once we clear the deck of the remnants of their last voyage, we're off on an adventure, ready for whatever comes our way. The Treasure Seeker sails daily from Harbor Island.

"We celebrate all kinds of special occasions -- birthday parties, bar mitzvahs, wedding parties, divorce parties. Anything really that tickles your fancy, we can do it because a pirate's life is a life for you," Mr. Sikes said.

The ship, which can accommodate up to 48, is lots of fun, but this is not meant to be a pleasure cruise. There are decks to be swabbed, swashbuckling may break out at any moment and punishments meted out by the cruel captain. And since we're in pirate-infested waters, there's always the threat of an attack.

All hands on deck for the Pirate Ship Adventures experience. The offer four different voyages and countless unforgettable memories. So, channel your inner captain Jack Sparrow and come aboard for hijinks and the high seas.
