SAN DIEGO — One of the biggest retailers of hard-surface flooring in the United States filed for bankruptcy on Sunday, announcing the closure of dozens of stores including in San Diego County.
LL Flooring says in its Chapter 11 filing that it will close 94 store locations across the country. LL Flooring will close two stores in the county, located in Santee and South Bay San Diego.
“After comprehensive eorts to enhance our liquidity position in a challenging macro environment, a determination was made that initiating this Chapter 11 process is the best path forward for the Company,” said Charles Tyson, President and Chief Executive Ocer of LL Flooring.
Ahead of the store closures, LL Flooring will offer liquidation deals at both San Diego County stores located in Santee and San Diego.
LL Flooring will still operate its stores in San Marcos and Miramar.
