SAN DIEGO — The newest castaways competing on the 46th season of Survivor have been announced and a contestant from San Diego County will be one of 18 contestants fighting for the million-dollar prize.
Moriah Gaynor, 28, a San Diego resident, is one of 18 new players stranded on the Islands of Fiji competing for the $1 million and title of Sole Survivor.
“I think I'm gonna be perceived as a nerdy dork,” Gaynor said. “Coming out here breathing the fresh salt air I want to walk away from this and remember this feeling of the possible it's out there. I do not want to be remembered as a woulda, shoulda, coulda.”
Gaynor works as a program coordinator for the City of San Diego, but is originally from Boca Raton, Florida.
The 46th season of Survivor kicks off with a historic two-part, two hour season premiere starting on Feb. 28 airing in San Diego County locally on CBS 8 starting at 8 PT.
Loyal Survivor fans can expect another intense season of moral dilemmas, extreme situations and new twists in the game will test even the strongest competitor, as all 18 contestants fight to outwit, outplay and outlast.
