SAN DIEGO — There's a lot of pressure to be the host or hostess with the most-est if you're hosting a holiday. Just ask author and designer Jennifer Adams, who's hosting Thanksgiving for 17 people this year. Fortunately, Adams shared her top-notch decorating tips with Morning Extra. A lot of these earthy decorations don't even require a shopping trip - just a walk through your garden.
Adams has some helpful pointers if you're hosting a family holiday:
- put the chairs around the table before you start decorating
-arrange items in odd numbers
-put the candles on the table last
-use rosemary to make a napkin placeholder more decorative
-make kits of items like toothpaste and ear plugs so guests feel more at home if they're sleeping on the couch
