SAN DIEGO — The San Diego International Film Festival is focusing on the "Power of Perspective" this year, something Joey Travolta is bringing to the big screen with his film, Carol of the Bells.
Travolta filmed the project in Bakersfield with students. Travolta, a former special education teacher, trains adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in film. In fact, about 75% of the cast and crew from Carol of the Bells have intellectual disabilities.
The lineup for the festival features 107 films total. To find out more about the different events or to purchase passes, visit SDFilmFest.com.
