OCEANSIDE, Calif. — When Romi Hancock was growing up, she was sold into sex trafficking. It took her years to escape, but not without two children before the age of 18 and years of trauma to work through. She went back to school despite only having a 7th-grade education. The Carlsbad woman is now a coach for anyone struggling in their life.
You can make a difference in the anti-human trafficking movement this Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Kindness Fest. It's from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Social Garden on 1021 South Coast Highway in Oceanside.
All proceeds from this music and art festival go to support survivors. Proceeds go to fund grassroots social change agencies such as Shyne San Diego, Victory Garden Sanctuary, The Well Path, Tyesa Harvey and Free Coalition Inc.
