Hodads

The Ocean Beach burger joint on Newport Avenue opened in 1991. It's known for its cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings, and giant milkshakes. Hodads opened its second location in downtown San Diego in 2011 and expanded into Petco Park one year later.

The Ocean Beach Pier

Although it is currently temporarily closed due to storm damage, the pier is one of the most visited landmarks in San Diego. San Diego city staff just recently presented a new design to rebuild the pier at a higher elevation to reduce wave damage.

Sunset Cliffs Natural Park

The park features breathtaking ocean views, dramatic cliff formations, and caves. If you make the drive along Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, make sure to time it so you catch an amazing sunset.

The 3-story restaurant, bar, and live music venue is just steps away from the beach on Newport Avenue. It's a great place to hang out especially if you are looking to listen to good music and eat good food.

White Chicken Chili | Cooking with Styles

Chili can be made so many different ways; a red base and beef or turkey, a bean-based chili without meat, or even a spicy 3-alarm chili but one thing they all tend to have in common is the color red.

When you make this White Chicken Chilii, your dish will stand out.  Most people tell me that they have never had white chili. The best part is that it has just enough heat for everyone to enjoy and for those who want it spicer can add more jalapenos.
