SAN DIEGO — San Diego Fire-Rescue Department firefighters put out a brush fire off of eastbound State Route 94 in the Oak Park neighborhood Sunday afternoon, fire officials reported.
The fire broke out west of the College Avenue and Broadway exits of SR- 94 at 2:52 p.m. and the first fire units arrived at 2:59 p.m., according to a fire department incident report. The fire was extinguished about 3:55 p.m., a fire dispatch supervisor said.
A total of 55 personnel were assigned to the brush fire.
At 4:11 p.m., Caltrans San Diego reported two right lanes of traffic that had been shut down on eastbound SR-94 were re-opened.
