SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - This past year on Adopt 8, we featured 32 children - kids who are considered "difficult to place," because they're older, are part of a sibling set or have special needs.
More than half have been matched with a family, but many are still waiting to find a permanent home.
In the above video report, CBS News 8's Marcella Lee and Photojournalist Ann Marie Spaulding take a look back at the Adopt 8 kids of 2014.
Since Adopt 8 first aired 15 years ago in November 1999, more than 700 foster children have been featured, with nearly 500 of them now in a forever home.
CBS News 8 thanks the wonderful families in San Diego who have opened up their homes and hearts to expand their families through adoption.
