Police investigating three pharmacy burglaries overnight

Two San Diego pharmacies and one Oceanside pharmacy were broken into in an apparent series.

San Diego Police investigating pharmacy burglary series

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — Local police are investigating at least three burglaries at local pharmacies in San Diego County overnight on Monday. San Diego Police confirm at least two break-ins with the same suspect description. 

Alto Pharmacy: Kearny Mesa

The SDPD Watch Commander confirmed details at the Alto Pharmacy, "Three individuals broke into the business located at 4240 Kearny Mesa Rd. Ste 107. The individuals were masked, hooded, and wore gloves. They gained access to the location by breaking through the glass front door.  Once inside they attempted to gain access to a safe, but they were unable to defeat the safe.  The individuals quickly left and there was no loss.  No vehicle was seen and there is no further description of the suspects at this time.  The investigation is in its preliminary stages at this time."

Purecare Pharmacy: Carmel Mountain Road

SDPD Northwestern Division is investigating another burglary at Purecare Pharmacy at 5550 Carmel Mountain Road.  SDPD tod CBS8, "We have very limited information at this time.  From what officers could tell, it looks like two people were inside the business while a possible third subject was in a nearby compact SUV.  There is no loss at this time, but an inventory is being conducted as we speak."

Coast Compounding Pharmacy: Oceanside 

Oceanside Police Media Relations Manager Heather Mitchell confirmed another case in the county from overnight. "Yes, we did have a pharmacy break-in around 4:00 a.m. this morning in the 1800 block of Coast Highway. At this point, we do not have any more information and can update you as information becomes available."
