Fire crews stop rate of spread on vegetation fire in Ramona

Cal Fire reported a little after 1:30 p.m. that the fire was stopped at four acres and the structure threat was mitigated.

RAMONA, Calif. — Cal Fire stopped the rate of spread of a vegetation fire in Ramona that ignited Monday afternoon. At the start, the fire was about two acres and burning near Fernbrook Drive and Mussey Grade Road. Initially, there was an immediate structure threat in the area.

Cal Fire reported a little after 1:30 p.m. that the fire was stopped at four acres and the structure threat was mitigated.

The fire was dubbed the Fernbrook Fire.
