SAN DIEGO — A popular destination for San Diegans and their four-legged loved ones has been named the best dog park in the United States.
Fiesta Island, located within Mission Bay Park, was recognized by USA Today for its sprawling dog park that offers natural landscapes and picture-perfect views.
USA Today said Fiesta Island’s 90-acre, fenced, off-leash dog park creates the perfect environment for your dog to play in the sand or swim in the calm bay.
Fiesta Island has become loved by San Diego locals and visitors for its beach access, scenic trails and ample parking.
"We are thrilled and honored that Fiesta Island received this recognition from USA Today for the second time," said Kathy Parrish, Board Member of Fiesta Island Dog Owners.

The USA Today nominations were curated by a panel of experts, editors, then voted on by the public.
