SAN DIEGO —
The Salvation Army held a Christmas tree lighting Thursday evening at Fashion Valley Mall. The ceremony and festivities included food, live entertainment, giveaways and crafts.
The tree lighting was hosted by Santa Claus and News 8’s own Heather Myers. Santa and princesses from Disney’s “Frozen II” were available to take pictures with attendees as well.
The tree lighting marks the start of the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle season – the organization’s annual donation collection campaign.
Fashion Valley’s tree is located in their “River Plaza” on the backside of the mall near California Pizza Kitchen.
