CHULA VISTA, Calif. — A San Diego Police Department car crashed on Chula Vista trolley tracks at the E St intersection around 5 p.m. Sunday.
According to police officials, an officer was in pursuit of a speeding car when the police vehicle crashed into the trolley arm on E St. The vehicle San Diego police were pursuing in Chula Vista was not stopped at the time of the crash.
MTS said to expect delays at the time the incident happened and the trolley operated on a single track from the Bayfront/E St trolley station up to 24th St until the scene had been cleared.
Chula Vista Police will be handling the investigation.
