Two people shot at Linda Vista gas station

Police confirmed that two people were shot at two locations in Linda Vista. Police are investigating.

SAN DIEGO — San Diego Police are investigating a shooting at a gas station in Linda Vista at the intersection of Linda Vista Road and Ulric Street. 

A San Diego Police Sergeant confirmed that two people were shot and were taken to the hospital. Police have not yet released their condition and details on their injuries. 

Just a few blocks away, police are also at a second scene where a car crash took place. It is not yet known whether the two scenes are related. 

CBS 8 is on the scene and will continue to gather information on the shooting. As new developments emerge, the story will be updated. 

UPDATE:

San Diego Police say the shooting occurred shortly before 5:30 am at the Chevron gas station on Linda Vista Road. One juvenile with a gunshot wound was found down the road after he was involved in a car crash. Another male who was believed to be involved in the shooting was taken to the hospital by a third party. Both men are in stable condition and expected to survive.

CBS 8 spoke to one witness who said her car was in the middle of the shootout. She said the shooting began as a fight and people began running when they heard the gunshots.
