SAN DIEGO — San Diego Police are searching for a suspect in Logan Heights after they said he escaped from custody on Tuesday night.
Police said that a suspect who was charged with "burglary and pimping" fled police custody around 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. SDPD said the man escaped from the Central Substation on 25th and Imperial Avenue.
Police set up a perimeter and searched the surrounding neighborhood while ASTREA made PA announcements in English and Spanish.
The suspect is described as a 29-year-old man, 6'2" and 190 pounds wearing all dark clothing. He was also wearing handcuffs when he escaped.
As of Thursday evening, the suspect is still at large.
