"You have a group of between 1 and 4 people coming in with guns. Demanding money. Demanding property. In some cases taking a cash register and ripping it out and running out the store with it. That's pretty brazen," SDPD Lt. Adam Sharki told CBS 8.

Officers believe with this many people involved, usually somebody knows something.

If you have information, call the Robbery Unit at 619-531-2299 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. For everyone else who may go to a gas station or convenience store or liquor store later in the evening or overnight, be on the lookout.

"We don’t want people to be afraid. We want people to be aware. If they see people casing a business. If you see people putting on masks, trying to conceal their identity, obviously if you see somebody carry a gun, they can call 911. These armed robberies contain a lot of risk for somebody to get hurt. We want to catch these people before that happens," Sharki said.
