Snapdragon Bowl Bash kicks off downtown in the Gaslamp

Festivities for the Snapdragon Bowl Bash in the Gaslamp Quarter include a battle of the marching bands, games, contests, and much more.

SAN DIEGO — Festivities for the Snapdragon Bowl Bash kicked off Tuesday in the Gaslamp Quarter, featuring live music, games, contests, and much more.

The Battle of the Bands is a must-see, featuring the University of Louisville and USC marching bands, at the corner of 5th Avenue and Market Street on Tuesday evening. The event also includes photo opportunities and is free for all.

The annual DirectTV Holiday Bowl teamed up with Qualcomm Technologies to put on the event.

“We encourage San Diegans of all ages to attend the Snapdragon Bowl Bash,” said Dennis Dubard President of the 2023 DIRECTV Holiday Bowl effort. “Everyone can enjoy the incredible university marching bands, have dinner, check out all the other entertainment and get caught up in a college football atmosphere at its best.”

The event goes from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
