SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — San Diegans are blessed with an abundance of sunshine, which means installing solar is good when it comes to personal finances, the environment, and especially with federal tax credits.
Tax credits for homeowners who go solar are currently 30%, but will be reduced to 26% next year. In 2021, they will go down to 22% and after that they’re gone.
News 8’s Shawn Styles reports from Clairemont to explain how homeowners can offset some of the tax credit they'll be losing.
