Two dead after shooting in Barrio Logan

San Diego Police say the suspect was last seen driving away in a white Kia Forte.

BARRIO LOGAN - San Diego Police are searching for the man who shot and killed two men Saturday night in Barrio Logan.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired at 9:39 p.m. on Newton Avenue near Beardsley Street, according to SDPD Lieutenant Lou Maggi.

When officers arrived, they found two Hispanic men suffering from gun shot wounds.

One man died at the scene, the other was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

The victims names have not been released, but Maggi said one was 18 years old.

The shooter is described as a Hispanic man possibly in his 30's, about 5'10" with short hair and a full beard.

He was last seen driving a white 2012 Kia Forte west on Logan Avenue.
