MOUNT LAGUNA, Calif. — According to the National Weather Service, Mount Laguna received approximately two inches of snow at 5918-feet elevation on Thursday morning to kick off the first snow of the season. The levels are expected to rise this afternoon as the snow melts and becomes slushy.
José and Vicki of San Diego decided to drive inland to see the fresh snow for themselves.
"I think it's great right now since nobody's here," said José .
Thursday is actually Vicki's first time ever in the snow!
"It's pretty cold," said Vicki.
