SAN DIEGO — CAL FIRE crews have knocked down a vegetation fire that broke out Friday afternoon just northwest of Warner Springs Resort.
The Resort 2 Fire was 100% surrounded as of early Saturday evening, and held to 25 acres.
The fire was reported just after 3:40 p.m. Friday afternoon and was spreading rapidly due to brush and grass, fire officials say.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
Fire officials say there was no threat to structures and no evacuation warnings.
