SAN DIEGO — An 18-year-old woman was hospitalized after a car lost control and hit her while she was waiting at a Mira Mesa bus stop.

According to the San Diego Police Department, a 27-year-old man was turning from southbound Camino Ruiz onto eastbound Mira Mesa Blvd on Wednesday when he collided with a woman at a bus stop near 8350 Mira Mesa Blvd.

The driver in a 2017 Fiat Spider lost traction and began to fishtail, colliding with the woman before hitting the MTS Bus Bench, San Diego police said.

Nearby roads were closed while authorities investigated
