SAN DIEGO — CBS 8 is Working For You and partnered with the Salvation Army to help those San Diegans impacted by the flooding. The Salvation Army/CBS 8 Working For You Flood Drive was Wednesday, January 31. CBS 8 broadcasted live from the Flood Drive during our midday and evening newscasts.
The Salvation Army hosted a phone bank to take donations and while that is over, donations can be made online at any time. Click here to make a donation.
Donations can also be made in person. Feel free to drop off items, such as blankets and towels at the Salvation Army Kroc Center located at 6753 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92115.
The Salvation Army reported that Wednesday's Flood Drive raised $100,000.
Every single donation will go to flood relief right here in San Diego. The Salvation Army's mission is to provide nourishment, shelter management, caseworkers, emotional and spiritual solace, and financial assistance.
