SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A bicyclist fell while riding Sunday in Mission Trails Regional Park and was airlifted to a hospital.
The man was riding about a mile west of the equestrian trail in the 5,800-acre open space preserve near the San Diego-Santee border. He tumbled from the bicycle shortly before 10 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The rider was flown to Sharp Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries, a fire-rescue dispatcher said.
