Man shot dead at Lincoln Park apartment complex

San Diego police sought the public's help Friday in locating several individuals who ran from the scene of a shooting in Lincoln Park that left one man dead.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police sought the public's help Friday in locating several individuals who ran from the scene of a shooting in Lincoln Park that left one man dead.

The fatal shooting at an apartment complex in the 200 block of 50th Street was reported at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego police Lt. Jorge Duran.

The victim was found lying on a common walkway inside the complex with at least one gunshot wound and he died at the scene, the homicide lieutenant said in a statement.

Moments before the gunfire, the victim and several other individuals were standing in the complex and witnesses saw the group scatter after shots rang out, Duran said.
