IMPERIAL BEACH (CNS) - Authorities Thursday publicly identified the second of two men whose bodies washed ashore just north of the U.S.-Mexico border over the Labor Day weekend.

Jose Angel Bobadilla, 49, was found dead along the surfline at Border Field State Park Saturday morning by U.S. Border Patrol agents conducting routine patrols, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

Bobadilla's death was apparently unrelated to that of Oscar Javier Andrade-Aguirre, 34, who was also found dead at the park's coast Saturday morning, officials with the Medical Examiner's Office said.

Both men's bodies were believed to have floated north from Mexico, according to sheriff's officials. The international boundary is just north of Playa de Tijuana, a popular swimming beach in Baja California.

Although the cause of the men's deaths was pending, sheriff's officials said it appeared that both had become distressed while swimming.
