SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Miramar College is celebrating the grand opening of its new library and learning resource center.
The three story, 100,000 square foot facility also holds classrooms and computer labs. It was built to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly, with construction materials made from recycled content and space ready for future solar panels.
The $39.4 million project was funded by the San Diego Community College District's Proposition S and N construction bond program.
