BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. (AP) — A man missing since Thanksgiving weekend in Big Bear Lake has been found dead buried in snow not far from where he wandered off.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department says the body of Bryson Lukacik was discovered Friday by contractors who were working on a property two blocks from a vacation cabin where Lukacik had been staying with his father and father's girlfriend.
Lukacik's father told the San Diego Union-Tribune the 22-year-old disappeared on Nov. 26, hours after suffering a head injury while snowboarding and seemed disoriented.
Joe Lukacik said it appeared his son tried to get into a home and was buried by snow that fell from the roof.

BIG BEAR (CBS 8) - A body has been found Friday in the Moonridge area of Big Bear Lake. The body has been identified as Bryson Lukacik, according to his father.

BIG BEAR (CBS 8) - The search for Bryson Lukacik intensified Thursday, with family members and volunteers from the Rock Church traveling to Big Bear to look for the missing man.
On Saturday, November 27, 2010, Lukacik was reported missing by family members. He was last seen at a cabin in the 1300 block of Balsam Drive in Big Bear Lake just after midnight. Bryson's father say his son left the home on foot and was walking on Balsam toward Bear Mountain.
Bryson's brother Nick tells News 8 that Bryson hit his head while snowboarding and was disoriented and confused the night he vanished.
Bryson was last seen wearing blue jeans, black gloves, a blue pull over sweater with Mickey Mouse on the front and blue shoes. His father says he had only a little cash in his pocket.
Bryson is from the San Diego area and family members believe that he may be attempting to return home.
Deputies from the Big Bear Station along with Sheriff's aviation and search and rescue members have been looking for Bryson since he was reported missing.
Search efforts continued throughout the day, deputies and volunteers are conducting a door to door search in and around the area were Bryson was last seen. Bryson is bipolar and does not have his medication.
