SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Cuyumaca College is taking steps to save a nature preserve that is a popular, but illegal spot for bike riders.
The four-acre area along Fury Road has long been used by bikers who created dirt mounds to perform tricks.
Last week, officials at the Rancho San Diego campus posted "no trespassing" signs along Fury Road and explained to bikers why they can't use it anymore.
The college was recently told by the Department of Fish and Wildlife that the bumps must be removed because the area is part of a sensitive wildlife habitat.
