SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - San Diego Lifeguards on Thursday rescued a sea turtle caught in fishing line.
Lifeguards rescued it near the Ocean Beach Pier and transported the sea turtle via boat to SeaWorld. According to San Diego Lifeguards, a fisherman accidentally hooked the 70lb sea turtle on his fishing line.
A spokesman for SeaWorld told News 8 on Friday the fish hook was successfully removed and t he reptilian patient is now resting and recovering stable condition.
