Three motorcycle officers who were escorting President Donald Trump's motorcade crashed Tuesday afternoon as the president headed to an event in Louisiana.

The White House said the incident happened as the motorcade left Chennault International Airport in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

A White House pool reporter from Bloomberg News said she saw three officers on the ground and two of them were bleeding.

Trump's vehicle did not appear to be involved in the crash and the president continued on to his scheduled speech at a liquefied natural gas facility in Hackberry, Louisiana, according to pool reports.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said the officers involved were from local law enforcement and are being treated for their injuries at a nearby hospital.
