SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Local bike riders are helping in the fight against cancer by signing up for a great cycling event called Pedal the Cause.
On Wednesday, signups were held at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center.
Pedal the Cause, which will be held on October 26 and 27, will raise money for San Diego's three National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers.
"We have courses for everybody. We have a 25-mile and 50-mile course. And we also have a two-day weekend ride. All of the rides will start here at the UCSD campus, and the two-day ride will go to Julian, and with an overnight camp in Julian," Pedal the Cause Executive Director Patrick Conner said.
You can register for Pedal the Cause by going to cbs8.com/pedal.
Join Team KFMB and ride with Cookie "Chainsaw" Randolph from the DSC, 760 AM talk radio's Mike Slater and Pat Nevin, general manager and vice president of the KFMB Stations.
