EL CAJON (CBS 8) - A threat against Valhalla High School on social media prompted a large police presence on campus Tuesday.
The personnel made several sweeps of the Cottonwood-area campus with service dogs prior to the start of classes, Lt. Robert Smith said. The security measure followed a similar effort that took place at the Hillsdale Road school on Monday night, shortly after someone reported seeing the menacing statements posted via Twitter.
Deputies planned to remain at the campus for the remainder of the school day as an added precaution, the lieutenant said.
No suspects had been identified or arrests made in the case as of late morning, Smith said.
