Early voting in San Diego County | Vote centers, ballot drop off locations

Voting is already underway in San Diego County. Here's info you'll need to vote early in person or if you want to drop off your ballot.

SAN DIEGO — The 2024 presidential election is underway with voters casting their ballot early in person and via mail-in ballot. 

Want to vote before election day? Here’s how you can cast your ballot and vote in person before Nov. 5 in San Diego County.

Early voting

  • According to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters, San Diego County started early voting starting on Oct. 7
  • You can vote early Monday through Friday 
  • Open between 8 a.m. through 5 p.m.
  • Starting, October 26, select vote centers and the Registrar’s office will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through November 4.
  • Starting, November 2, over 200 vote centers and the Registrar’s office will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through November 4.
  • On the final day of voting, November 5, all vote centers, official ballot drop boxes, and the Registrar’s office will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
