SAN DIEGO — Vice Presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz will visit San Diego as the campaign embarks on a fundraising blitz in California and Washington.

The campaign for Vice President Kamala Harris said Walz will arrive in San Diego on Sunday and start his West Coast tour by delivering remarks at a campaign event hosted by the Harris Victory Fund.

The location of the event is unknown.

After Walz’s visit to San Diego, the Minnesota governor will head to Santa Barbara for a similar campaign event in Montecito.

Walz is scheduled to visit Washington on Monday on Tuesday. After a campaign event in Seattle, Walz will return to California and end his fundraising tour in Sacramento.

Walz is the second vice presidential candidate to visit San Diego County ahead of the November election.

In September, Vice Presidential candidate and Ohio Sen. JD Vance made a campaign stop in San Diego County for a fundraiser in Rancho Santa Fe.

The fundraiser was hosted by Bob Shillman, the founder and former CEO of the Cognex Corp., a machine vision systems manufacturer, and his wife June.

Before the fundraiser, Vance made a stop at the U.S.-Mexico Border to call out the White House's immigration policies.
