SAN DIEGO (AP) - A San Diego high school has just learned it was not selected to have a commencement speech delivered by President Barack Obama.
High Tech High International Dean of Students Melissa Agudelo says the school learned the news in a phone call at midmorning Tuesday.
Agudelo also says the school was not told which of the other two finalists in the competition is the winner.
The others are in Bridgeport, Wash., and Memphis, Tenn.
Agudelo says her students are disappointed but are proud of their application and know they put their best foot forward.
