SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Rancho Coastal Humane Society is gearing up to make some holiday wishes come true.
Once again, they're playing Santa for kids who are hoping to find a new pet under their tree.
For the fourth year in a row, the Rancho Coastal Humane Society will be making a limited number of pet deliveries on Christmas by Santa Claws.
The process works the same way as any standard pet adoption. Parents can go to the shelter, meet with the pets and if they find a pet that interests them, they can fill out an adoption application and have an interview with an adoption counselor.
All family members are expected to meet the pet, however, the children do not need to be included during the interview process, otherwise it would ruin the surprise!
If the adoption is approved, the adopter pays an adoption fee plus a $100 donation to the RCHS. After that, a delivery time is arranged for Christmas day.
To learn more, visit RCHS at 389 Requeza Street in Encinitas or call 760-753-6413. You can also get more information at their website.
