SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - He's been known as Baby Shamu, but now the killer whale calf born at SeaWorld in February has his own, unique name.
Nearly 12,000 people voted on Facebook this week, with 40 percent picking the name Makani, which is a Hawaiian word for "the wind."
The other choices were Hako and Valentino.
Makani, who was born on February 14th, is the sixth successful killer whale birth at SeaWorld San Diego.
