"Super Moon" set to rise Saturday night

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - If you're heading out to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, you may want to take some time to stop and stare up at the "Super Moon".

The moon will pass about 15,000 miles closer to earth than average Saturday night. That will make it appear bigger and brighter than a full moon typically would.

For the full "super moon" effect, look for it hanging close to the horizon at about sunset.
