SAN DIEGO - The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation will celebrate a major milestone Saturday, November 21. The tribe who opened the doors to Sycuan Casino in 1983, then known as Sycuan Bingo Palace, will celebrate 32 years in business.
Over the last three decades, the tribe has become a philanthropic leader in San Diego by providing substantial monetary and in-kind donations to hundreds of local charities and community projects.
To mark the occasion, Sycuan Casino kicked off a month long, casino-wide event on November 1 which will culminate in a huge all day celebration Saturday, November 21st.
Festivities will include:
- 8am: Custom t-shirt and coffee mug giveaway
- 10am: Cupcakes to all players
- 5pm: A $32,000 cash giveaway
- 6pm: Giant cake cutting ceremony with traditional Native American Bird Singers and Dancers
- Live music all day long
Guests will have a chance to win $3,200 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every Wednesday until the end of the month. Giveaways for the month of November include a Nissan Versa for poker players, $150,000 and a chance to win a brand new Mercedes.
